Conservative Chancellor Philip Hammond has warned that it will cost the UK £1tn to hit the current 2050 target of net-zero carbon emissions.
This is a target that many argue isn’t even enough to halt catastrophically costly climate change, in which we will be paying with human lives, not just simply digits on a screen.
